(Elk Horn) The City of Elk Horn is preparing to welcome RAGBRAI riders from across the world on Monday, July 20.
RAGBRAI begins Sunday in Onawa, with the first day ending in an overnight stop in Harlan. On Monday, riders will leave Harlan and travel through Elk Horn on their way to the next overnight community in Guthrie Center.
Elk Horn City Clerk Chelsee Jacobsen said this year’s community theme is “Velkommen to Elk Horn, Where Vikings and Trolls Meet.”
She said there will be plenty of vendors, food, entertainment and activities throughout Elk Horn for riders and spectators to enjoy during the stop.
Chelsee Jacobsen said there are some road closures to be aware of.
