The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is on schedule to becoming law despite President Trump’s vow not to sign it. That’s according to Iowa Congressman Zach Nunn of the 3rd District who says everybody has access to buying their first house to making repairs on existing homes.
The bill received bipartisan support, passing 358-32 in the House and 85-5 in the Senate. Nunn says that the real estate market in towns like Atlantic, Red Oak, Creston and other smaller communities need a jump start
President Trump is not signing the measure because he still wants the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act but he is not going to veto the measure either. Nunn says the rules say that the bill will then become law
Nunn was in Ringgold County today where he announced funding for the repaving of a highway into Diagonal. He also visited the county fairs in Dallas and Ringgold as well. He will going back to Washington D.C. on Monday, July 13 when the House will be back in session for the rest of the month.
