(Hamilton) Two people died following a two-vehicle accident in Hamilton County Wednesday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says 69-year-old Joseph Kennedy, of Alden, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 40-year-old Aaron Scott Gomez, of Harlingen, Texas, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Authorities say at around 12:00 p.m., Joseph Kennedy was driving a 2017 Chevy Silverado eastbound in the westbound lane of Highway 20. Aaron Gomez was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 westbound and was struck by the Silverado on the inside lane of Highway 20.
The accident remains under investigation.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Webster City Fire Department and EMS, and Tony’s Towing.
