(Atlantic) Produce in the Park will celebrate America’s 250th birthday during its July 2 farmers market in Atlantic City Park with family-friendly activities, live music and a salute to veterans.
The market, open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., will feature face painting, a bounce house, food trucks and a performance by bluegrass and Cajun folk band The Prairie Gators. Several local military and veterans organizations, including VFW Post 3415, American Legion Post #43, Civil Air Patrol and others, will also have displays.
Shoppers can stock up for Fourth of July celebrations with locally raised beef, pork, chicken and lamb, along with fresh produce, baked goods, eggs and desserts. Vendors will also offer crafts, bath and body products, accessories and home and garden décor.
Admission is free. The market accepts SNAP/EBT, SUN Bucks and Double Up Food Bucks.
Produce in the Park continues to accept vendor and sponsor applications for its Thursday markets, held June through September in Atlantic City Park.
