(Harrison Co.) A Sheldon man died following an ATV accident Saturday evening in Harrison County, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 127 and Irwin Avenue.
Authorities said 64-year-old Kathleen Lynn Sterler, of Sheldon, was driving a 2018 Polaris Ranger eastbound on Highway 127 when the utility vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled over.
The passenger, 70-year-old William Kerwin Sterler, was ejected during the rollover. He was transported by LifeNet helicopter to Missouri Valley Hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Kathleen Sterler suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Iowa State Patrol report does not indicate whether she was transported to a hospital.
The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
