Iowa Ranks 46th in Job Growth, Adds 3,400 Jobs in May
(Undated) — Iowa ranked 46th in job growth nationwide over the past year, according to a new report. The Common Sense Institute report shows the state added about 34-hundred nonfarm jobs in May, with the largest gains in the trade, transportation, and utilities sector. Iowa had the third-highest labor force participation rate in the country and the ninth-lowest unemployment rate.
Iowa Among States Most Diligent With Credit

The Bakery Unlimited in Winterset is the third-best donut shop in the country, according to this year’s USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards. It’s the third year in a row the shop has made the top ten list. The Bakery Unlimited is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
