(Atlantic) Early Sunday morning, Atlantic Police and Fire Department officials, along with Cass EMS, responded to a fire alarm triggered by smoke at the Walnut Hill Terrace Apartments located at 1300 E. 10th Street. The alarm was reported at approximately 12:39 a.m. Upon arrival, Atlantic Police found light smoke in one of the apartments. After entering the unit, they determined that the smoke was caused by burned food. The Atlantic Fire Department then ventilated the apartment, and the situation was resolved in under 20 minutes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
