(Red Oak) Red Oak Parks Superintendent Adam VanDervliet believes that the leak in Red Oak’s outdoor pool is located in the pool’s piping system.
According to a previous statement by Red Oak City Administrator Lisa Kotter, the leak has delayed the pool’s scheduled opening date of May 29.
VanDervliet and Kotter are working with numerous teams to investigate possible locations of the leak, with hopes of identifying the issue by Thursday.
There is currently no timeline for the pool’s reopening. VanDervliet said the pool is fully staffed and ready to operate once the issue is resolved. In the meantime, Red Oak lifeguards are helping other pools experiencing staffing issues.
