(Buchanan County) Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Buchanan County on Friday.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 5:40 p.m. on Highway 150 near the 137-mile marker. Authorities identified the injured drivers as 46-year-old Miguel A. Hernandez-Piceno of Independence and 36-year-old Christopher Gordon Schanbeck of Oelwein.
According to the report, a southbound 2019 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Hernandez-Piceno crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2004 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Schanbeck. The impact caused the Dodge truck to roll.
Oelwein EMS transported Schanbeck to Buchanan County Health. Fairbank Fire and Rescue transported Hernandez-Piceno to Buchanan County Health.
