(Panora) SWAT edged Atlantic 112–110.5 to capture the team title at Tuesday’s Panorama Girls Varsity Wrestling Tournament in Panora. Creston finished close behind in third with 100 points, followed by Panorama in fourth with 88. Interstate 35 placed fifth with 76, Mount Ayr was sixth with 63, Perry seventh with 44.5, and Harlan Community eighth with 23 points.
SWAT crowned three individual champions: Nadia South (110), Bailey Lillard (145), and Megan Gerlock (190).
Atlantic also produced three champions, with titles going to Cadence Kinzie (115), Leiah Thomas (155), and Haley Armstrong (235).
Creston’s Eva Chestnut (100) and Grace Keeler (135) earned first-place finishes for the Panthers.
For Panorama, Natalie Waltz claimed the championship at 105 pounds.
Perry crowned two champions as well: Amelia Canalis (120) and Cate Erickson (130).
Interstate 35’s Morgan Dickinson won the 125-pound bracket, and teammate Ellie Hutton secured the title at 170 pounds.
Mount Ayr’s Adalynn Dredge rounded out the list of champions with her victory at 140 pounds.
