(Anita, IA) — The CAM Boys Basketball team will by trying to improve on last season’s 12-11 squad. The Cougars did graduate some size with leading scorer Chase Jahde plus Cody Venteicher and point guard Makade Paulsen so Head Coach Ian Hunt says the team’s approach might be outside instead of inside. Senior Collin Bower returns in the middle who averaged 15.8 points and 13 rebounds a game. Hunt says the rest of the starting line up starts with Junior Braxton Dennis who takes over at the point
Hunt says Bower is a good passer which could create shooting opportunities — CAM will need Bower to stay out of foul trouble. Gunnar Hoguieson is one to watch this year — the Cougars will need him to improve on his 8.4 points per game
Off the bench, CAM will go with Junior Calen Anstsey and Sophomores Zach Kauffman, Cohen McCann and Aiden Winther. Hunt says the Cougars will face tough competition this season in the Rolling Valley Conference
