(Greenfield, IA) — Three Nodaway Valley Seniors announced on Friday their intentions to play college athletics — Ashton Honnold will wrestle at Northern Iowa, Ty Strode will wrestle at Northwestern in Orange City, IA and Izzy Eisbach will play basketball at NW Missouri St.

Honnold is a two time state champion and a three time state medalist. He chose UNI over Iowa St., Cal Baptist and Oklahoma and he says there two big reasons he will wrestle for the Panthers
Honnold plans on majoring in kinesiology — Honnold has a career record of 146-9, he went 52-0 last year and won 7-0 in the state finals. To succeed at the college level, Honnold says he just needs to do some simple things

Strode made it to state the last two years and was 2-4 at the Well. Strode is 68-22 in his two years wrestling varsity at Nodaway Valley. He choose Northwestern over York University and Central College.
Strode is undecided about his major but he believes he will find his way in a family like environment with the Red Raiders

NW Missouri St. had announced it had signed Eisbach on Wednesday — Eisbach had multiple offers from schools and chose the Bearcats quickly over Pittsburg State
Eisbach led the entire state of Iowa in scoring last season, averaging 31.9 points a game and has 1,534 career points at Nodaway Valley and is third all time in school history in scoring. She will be expected to score more with the Bearcats — she says her family played a big role in her decision
Eisbach says she was originally leaning to majoring in business but now is considering nutrition and exercise science and has not ruled out following in her Dad’s footsteps and getting into coaching.
