(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors approved the County Engineer’s employment agreement this morning.
The employment agreement for Wicks is effective October 20th.
The county has been without a full-time engineer since late May, when the supervisors voted 3 to 2 to terminate the contract of John Rasmussen. The assistant engineer was appointed as interim, but he resigned on August 5th. In late August, the board approved the 28E Agreement with Mills County to provide interim engineering services.
The supervisors this morning also approved an extension of the 28E with Mills County through October 30th to provide a resource to the new Engineer and bring him up to speed with what has been going on.
