(Oakland, IA) — A potential district title game is looming for Riverside next week against AC/GC but the Bulldogs are focusing on their Homecoming this Friday against Central Decatur. Last Friday, Senior Jaxon Gordon needed 2 yards to pass the 5,000 yard mark for his career — he got 321 yards on 43 carries in a 55-26 win over the Falcons. Gordon is now at 5,319 total yards but he is very understated about his achievements
Gordon says the Bulldogs are not even thinking about the Chargers — he goes by the coaches cliche, one game at a time
Senior Gaven Hackett starts on the offensive line to pave the way for Gordon and he is excited for his teammate
Senior Jackson Allen is also on the offensive line and starts at defensive tackle. He says the defense overcame some early season struggles
Riverside is 5-1 on the season; they play 2-4 Central Decatur in their Homecoming game this Friday. The Riverside Homecoming interviews will air Thursday on KSOM.
