(Iowa City, IA) — Its Cy Hawk week for the Iowa Hawkeyes as they prepare for their annual rivalry game with Iowa St. The Hawkeye have dominated the game in recent years but Iowa St. has the trophy after last year’s 20-19 win at Kinnick Stadium.
Iowa has some changes on the depth chart this week — Kamauri Moulton was the number one running back but he got hurt early in Saturday’s 34-7 win over Albany — Head Coach Kirk Ferentz says he will not play against the Cyclones and could miss the next game against UMass as well. Xavier Williams ran for 122 yards and a TD against Albany while Terrell Washington had 69 yards and its Washington who is listed #1 on the depth chart this week. Ferentz says they will continue to rotate their backs along with Jazz Patterson
At left tackle, Trevor Lauck and Jack Dotzler were co number ones last week — Lauck has pulled ahead and is the clear starter with Dotzler listed as the back up. Ferentz says its still close
The passing game still has a lot left to be desired — in his first start for Iowa, Mark Gronwoski was 8-15 for just 44 yards and a TD. Ferentz says he was pressing a little
