(Neola, IA) — For the most part in the last five seasons, the Tri Center softball team has been hanging out in the 7-8 win territory and Head Coach Chad Thomas would like to see that get better next season and try to compete with the top teams in the Western Iowa Conference. To do that the Trojans will need better production in the circle and at the plate. Pitching wise, Tri Center loses Senior Hayden Thomas who is going to Nebraska Wesleyan to play the outfield but Caitlin Greiner returns — the sophomore had a 4.90 ERA in 75 innings so Thomas needs her to become more consistent next season
The Trojans did not have a Junior on the roster this season so they will be young next year. Thomas says there were some veteran players who did not come out in 2025 so he got a chance to play some young players
Hayden Thomas will be tough to replace with her .479 batting average but the team hit .253 with her numbers included. Without Hayden, the team was hitting .199. So Coach Chad Thomas says offense is a priority in the off-season
Besides Hayden Thomas, the other two seniors were Avi Killpack and Kaylynn Harris who only played in 8 games this season because of injuries.
