(NAFB) Parts of the Southern U.S. have struggled with drought for several years in a row. However, that’s no longer the case in many areas. Meteorologist Matt Makens owner of Makens Weather, says a remarkable series of weather systems has moved through states like Oklahoma and eliminated drought.
He said it was remarkable to watch the Drought Monitor get better and better every week.
Looking ahead to Fall, Makens said things may turn significantly drier in parts of the South.
Looking ahead, Makens said the rest of the year will likely be warmer than average in Oklahoma and the surrounding states.
