(Humboldt) A Humboldt farmer has entered the race for Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District.
Kyle Larsen officially launched his campaign as a Republican candidate this week. In a press release, Larsen, who also works as a land appraiser, said his platform will focus on lowering costs, protecting seniors, and giving Iowa’s agriculture-driven economy a stronger voice in Washington, D.C.
Larsen has not previously held elected office. He joins Chris McGowan and Matt Windschitl in the race for the Republican nomination.
On the Democratic side, Ashley WolfTornabane, a stay-at-home mother from Storm Lake, is currently the only announced candidate.
Iowa’s 4th Congressional District spans 36 counties across western and northwestern Iowa, including Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Ames, and Marshalltown.
