(Madison County, IA) — The Madison County Supervisors chairwoman is under investigation for misconduct allegations. Heather Stancil is accused of making a Facebook comment stating she would find ways to offset costs for a special election at the expense of taxpayers. The comment was in response to a petition for a special election to elect the next county auditor. The case has now been referred to the Iowa Attorney General’s office for further review of potential election misconduct and voter intimidation.
