(Buena Vista, County) One person died and four others were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Buena Vista County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 9:50 p.m. in the 4500 block of 20th Avenue and South Peterson. Authorities say 42-year-old Coree Keller, of Popejoy, Iowa, died in the crash.
According to the report, Nicolas Seaburg, of Popejoy, was driving a 2020 Subaru Outback northbound on M27 and turning left into a parking lot, and failed to yield to a southbound 2006 International semi driven by 69-year-old Marlon Klein of Sheldon, Iowa. The semi struck the right front passenger side, ejecting the passenger, Coree Keller, who died at the scene.
The four injured persons are identified as the driver, Nicolas Seaburg, and three juveniles. Wings transported an eleven-year-old female to Sanford Children’s Hospital. Storm Lake Rescue took a seven-year-old female to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, and a five-year-old male was taken by Mercy One to Sanford Children’s Hospital.
