(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Department of Motor Vehicles has collected more revenue in the first half of 2025 and is also offering new features in its office. Brenda Campbell the Guthrie County Treasurer reported to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday that the county DMV will now offer the option of having a disability sticker instead of a handicap license plate
Campbell also reported that the DMV can now handle discrepancies related to odometers
In terms of revenue, Campbell says the title numbers are up for the first half of 2025 compared to the first half of last year
Campbell says they issued 3,397 drivers licenses in the last fiscal year. She also says the staff has been going through extensive training to prevent fraud — one county resident actually ended up purchasing a stolen vehicle in the last year and lost his money in the transaction.
