(Clinton County) One person died, and another suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Clinton County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 1:36 p.m. on Highway 136 and 380th Avenue. Authorities say a 51-year-old driver from Miles, Iowa, died in the crash. Riley Reed, 31, of Charlotte, Iowa, was injured in the accident.
According to the report, a southbound Oldsmobile Alero, driven by the 51-year-old driver, failed to obey the stop sign and was struck by a 2014 Ford Flex driven by Reed.
Preston Ambulance transported Reed to MercyOne Hospital in Clinton. The 51-year-old deceased driver was transported to the State Medical Examiner.
