(Harlan, IA) — The Harlan ended their regular season on Wednesday night, falling to Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 3-0. Keagan Falknor for the Lynx threw a 4 hit shutout. The Cyclones now get ready for the post-season with a 23-11 record and they enter the playoffs without a number one ace pitcher. Sophomore Gavin Eck is 6-1 with a 1.46 ERA; Freshman Gavin Sisson is 5-1 with a 3.20 ERA; Junior Jonas Reynolds is 3-4, 3.24; and Weston Reisz is 2-3 and 1.60. Offensively, Hayden Soma and Colton Schneider continue to lead the way but Junior Harrison Kjergaard has earned a spot in the starting nine — in 20 games and 8 starts, he is hitting .419 with 8 RBI
Harlan will host Atlantic on Friday night — the Trojans played the Cyclones tough back in early June losing two close ball games 11-8 and 4-3. Stein says this not an easy first round game
