(Des Moines) The average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa dropped 4 cents over the past week and now stands at $2.99 per gallon, according to AAA.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude increased by $0.66, reaching $65.67 per barrel. Brent crude declined by $0.37 and is now priced at $67.40 per barrel. One year ago, the WTI price was $84.09, and the Brent price was $88.28.
Iowa Regular Unleaded: $2.99/gallon – down 4 cents from last week and 33 cents lower than this time last year. National Average: $3.17/gallon – down 3 cents from last week.
Iowa Diesel: $3.57/gallon – down 3 cents from last week; nearly unchanged from a year ago ($3.56). National Diesel Average: $3.69/gallon – 12 cents higher than Iowa’s average.

- U87-E10: $1.94
- Unleaded 87 (Clear): $2.29
- ULSD#2: $2.38
- ULSD#1: $2.63
- E-70: $1.86
Natural Gas at the Henry Hub fell by 14 cents to $3.47 per MMbtu.
