(Warren County) Six people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash in Warren County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened early this morning on Highway R63 south of G14.
Authorities identified the injured as:
*12-year-old Luis Antonio Espinosa, of Des Moines.
*57-year-old Angela Rae Chapman, of Indianola.
*7-year-old Josiah Lawton, of Des Moines.
*Jazmine Espinosa, (no age given), of Des Moines.
*36-year-old Miguel Antonio Espinoza, of Des Moines
*36-year-old Leticia Espinosa, of Des Moines.
According to the report, Angela Chapman was driving a 2005 Jeep SUV south on R63 south of G14 when it crossed the centerline, and side swiped a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup driven by Jeremy Lawton. The impact caused the pickup to roll, coming to rest on the passenger side. The Jeep continued southbound and struck a 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup head-on. The pickup was driven by Miguel Antonio Espinosa Galindo. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
Luis Espinosa was taken by helicopter to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. The five others were transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
