(Atlantic) The Freedom Festival will light up lower Sunnyside Park and the skies above Atlantic on July 4th.
Ali Pieken said the events will take place from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at lower Sunnyside Park in Atlantic near the pool and splash pad.
Dan Vargason said fireworks will be launched from the Bike Farm north of Atlantic at around 9:45 p.m.
The event schedule at Sunnyside Park:
5:00 to 7:00 p.m. – Burger Battle
6:00 p.m. – Hotdog Eating Contest
6:00 p.m. Slow Pitch Softball Game
7:30 p.m. Burger Battle Awards
Activities Include:
Food Trucks
Professional Face Painting
Pony Rides
Bingo
Spray Foam
Fire Department Water Fights
Live Band (Dirt Road Divide)
Fireworks

Parking for the event will be at the Cass County Fairgrounds. The parking areas for the pool and splash pad will be blocked off for the entire day. A map with details on parking and event locations is posted below.
Parking and viewing for the fireworks will be at the Little League Fields.
