(Griswold) Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs began Monday’s school board meeting with positive news—every teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year has been filled. Henrichs, who splits his time between the Griswold and Lenox School Districts, reported that his days were nearly evenly divided this past year: 113 days at Griswold and 112.5 at Lenox.
Henrichs, reporting on the concession stand remodeling project, stated that contractor Matt Leighton Construction identified cost-saving measures totaling $48,000, thereby reducing the overall project cost to $197,000. Henrichs added that the goal is to begin work on the project this week.
The school board also set nutrition prices and convenience fees for the 2025-2026 school year.
Adult lunches will increase from $4.85 per meal to $5.00 per meal. The board approved a ten-cent per meal increase for student lunches to cover the increased cost of food. The tab for kindergarten through fifth grade is $2.70 per meal. Prices for students in sixth through 12th grade have risen to $2.90 per meal.
