Coastal Carolina 11, Louisville 3
The Chanticleers have a winning streak of 26 games and advanced to the finals of the College World Series by scoring 5 runs before even recording an out and 6 total runs in the bottom of the first inning. Carolina starter Riley Eikhoff in his 2nd start of the Series held the Cardinals scoreless until the 6th. Colby Thorndyke led the offense going 3-4 with a double, 5 RBI and 2 runs scored.
LSU 6, Arkansas 5
It was a back and forth game with 5 lead changes, four of which came in the 8th and 9th innings. LSU led 2-1 through 7 innings but the Razorbacks scored 2 runs on a fielders choice and an error. The Tigers tied it in the bottom of the 8th on a solo HR from Jared Jones. Arkansas retook the lead in the top of the 9th on a 2 run single from Justin Thomas Jr to make it 5-3. In the bottom of the 9th, Derek Curiel reached on an infield single and Ethan Frey walked. Steven Milam grounded one to short but instead of trying a game ending double play, Wehiwa Aloy chose to get the force out at third base for the 2nd out. Luis Hernandez then doubled to left to tie the game at 5-5 and Jones ended the game on a walk off RBI hit to center to advance LSU to the Series finals.
