(Warren Co.) A woman from Texas was killed Saturday morning after exiting a moving vehicle on Interstate 35 in Warren County, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Authorities say the incident occurred at approximately 11:10 a.m. on June 15. A 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 59-year-old Asha Samuel of Chaska, Minnesota, was traveling northbound on I-35 when a passenger in the back seat, 55-year-old Poonam Salsbury of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, opened the rear passenger door and exited the vehicle while it was moving at an estimated 70 miles per hour.
Salsbury was pronounced dead at the scene.
