(Cass County) Junior Beef Queen Macy Freund and Junior Beef Princess Eden Ohms have been selected to represent the Cass County Beef Producers at a contest on Friday, June 13.
During the event, participants learned about various beef breeds, the importance of recycling beef, beef animal nutrition, different cuts of meat, food preparation techniques, beef by-products, and royal etiquette. Each contestant also had an interview with Claire Pellett, the 2022 Beef Queen and current Cass County Fair Queen.
Beef Queen Jacquelyn Freund and Princess Addie Masker hosted the workshop. Girls entering 6th and 7th grade in Cass County were eligible for the titles. (Photo L-R-Ohms and Freund) will participate in parades and assist in promoting beef products.
Naomi Masker, Jr. Beef Princess Eden Ohms, Princess Addie Masker, Queen Jacquelyn Freund, Jr. Beef Queen Macy Freund. and Ambassador Hayden Kleen served samples of beef taco salad, meat sticks and fruit snacks at the Quirky Parade in Lewis on Sat., June 14. Passerby’s were given coloring books and recipe cards.
A beef workshop for the Jr. Royalty contest was held on Friday, June 13, at the Cass County Community Building, featuring six contestants. The participants learned about various aspects of beef, including beef breeds, recycling beef, beef animal nutrition, cuts of meat, food preparation, beef by-products, and royalty etiquette.
