(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved some final road construction plans.
The final voucher for the F51/Monteith road construction plan was finally approved. This project started back in 2019 but County Engineer Josh Seburn says there were a number of reasons for the delay
The final voucher was for $30,000. The Supervisors approved it with a 5-0 vote. The final plans for a bridge replacement project on Victory Trail over Beaver Creek was discussed
The cost is estimated at $1.385 million and will be 100 percent federal aid funded according to Seburn but it will have to pass through the county budget so a budget amendment will be needed. Seburn says the County will be able to recover the funds quickly. The Supervisors approved it with a 5-0 vote.
Finally, Seburn’s contract as Engineer ends on June 30 but the Board renewed it for another three years by a 5-0 vote.
