(Washington D.C.) New legislation has been introduced in the U.S. House called the Retired Law Enforcement Officers Continuing Service Act.
Zach Nunn, who represents Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, said the legislation will help fill vacant positions with non-sworn, retired police officers.
Zach Nunn said this will enable frontline officers to stay focused on patrol, response times, and community safety, while also ensuring they receive the support they need behind the scenes to successfully protect our communities.
