(Atlantic, IA) — Atlantic was part of protests against the federal government on Flag Day. About 250 protesters hit the streets in Atlantic City Park and showed their signs between Chestnut and Poplar Streets. Denise O’Brien of Southwest Iowa Indivisible is not happy with how things are going in this country
The protest was scheduled to start at 11 am and just last an hour but O’Brien said people started to line up around 10:30. There was an early incident which caused the group to bring the Atlantic City Police to the scene
O’Brien said that the protest in Atlantic is part of a national effort
O’Brien says that the protest on Saturday was a complete success.
