UCLA 6, Murray St. 4
Roman Martin and AJ Salgado each drove in two runs as the Bruins won their first round game in the College World Series. The Bruins built a 6-0 lead before the Racers started their comeback. Murray St. scored one in the 5th, one in the 6th, and two in the 8th but UCLA closer Easton Hawk shut down the Racers in the 9th 1-2-3. UCLA is in the World Series for the first time since they won the national title in 2013.
LSU 4, Arkansas 1
The Tigers scored three runs in the 2nd inning — Chris Stanfield got a RBI single, Michael Braswell was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Josh Pearson got a RBI fielders choice. Kade Anderson went 7 innings and only made really one mistake — a home run by Reese Robinett.
