Monday, the Cougars edged a solid Woodbine team 4-3, Tuesday they knocked off #10 Bedford 7-6, Wednesday Exira EHK tested them but CAM survived an upset winning 6-1 and last night they came from behind to beat Lenox 8-7. The hitting has been good, the pitching has been good, but CAM seems to thrive on their defense. In their first 9 games, all wins, they have just 9 errors and a .964 fielding percentage that ranks second in Class 1A
Tonight, CAM faces the 11-1 Crusaders who beat them last year in the District Finals — CRB is led by the Heydon brothers — Junio Cal is batting .600 with 2 HR and 14 RBI and Sophomore Ty is hitting .529 with 1 HR and 16 RBI. Long would love a chance to go 5-0 on the week
