(Glenwood) Atlantic and Glenwood square off tonight in a Hawkeye Ten Conference baseball game. Both teams have already played doubleheaders. The Rams lost to Lewis Central, 5-2 and 7-2 on Tuesday. Denison-Schleswig topped Atlantic 3-1 and 6-5 last night.
The Trojans scored a combined six runs on 12 hits. Eight of those hits came in the nightcap. Kale Jensen led Atlantic with a double, two singles, and one RBI. Sawyer Tarrell had two hits and one RBI, Collin Harris smacked two hits and one RBI, and Grant Petty drilled two doubles.
All seven pitchers on the Trojans’ roster threw last night. Coach Nathan Block says Hudson McLaren is the projected starter tonight, and Grant Petty can also take the mound if needed.
On Tuesday, the Rams mustered four hits in the doubleheader loss to Lewis Central. Sophomore Graham Newberry smacked a pair of hits, and Ben Cario, Benn Christiansen, and Korbin Pelzer each produced singles.
We will have the broadcast on 95.7 F.M. tonight. The pre-game starts at 7:15 p.m. The first pitch is slated for 7:30.
