(Atlantic) The Atlantic Park Advisory Commission meeting began on Wednesday with a special presentation from Mary Buschmann, CEO and Executive Director of USTA Missouri Valley. Buschmann delivered a $33,000 check to Atlantic Tennis Coach and City Councilman Mike McDermott, along with members of the Advisory Board.
The funds will be used to resurface and repaint the four tennis courts at Sunnyside Park. The project is set to be completed ahead of the upcoming girls’ tennis season this fall. The courts will also see action this spring as the boys’ team begins its season.
