(Waterloo, IA) — Columbus Catholic managed to keep their lead in the 2A Golf Championship, tallying a team total of 600 strokes, 14 strokes ahead of second place winner Grundy Center. Panorama finished in seventh with a team score of 651, and Kuemper Catholic shot 658 resulting in a tie with Pella Christian for ninth.
Individually, junior Hunter Polley of West Marshall shot 140 through both rounds and took the individual championship. An impressive second round score of 68 from Rock Valley sophomore Trey Swanson put him in a three-way tie for second with Drew Lindsay of Columbus Catholic and Judd Jirovsky of Grundy Center, all shooting a 144 through both rounds. Parker Cary of Panorama and Kayden Schon of Kuemper Catholic both led their teams with a score of 156, both tying for 16th.
