(Cedar Falls) The Atlantic boys’ golf team tees off tomorrow morning in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls. The Trojans finished third at the Substate Golf Tournament on May 19 at the Red Oak Golf and Country Club. The Trojans shot 308.
The Trojan lineup is balanced, with any of the six players capable of posting the lowest score at any given time. At the Substate Tournament on May 19, it was sophomore Gage Gross’s turn to deliver the top score for the Trojans.
Atlantic Head Coach Kendra Henningsen says Brady Wood had a good round, and Sam Brosam has played steady golf this season.
Tristan Hayes carded a 79, Hudson McLaren, 81, and Trevan Hansen, an 84.
Coach Henningsen says Pheasant Ridge is a scoreable course. The team will play a practice round today. The Tournament starts at 10:30 on Tuesday morning.
