(Anita) The City of Anita is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
Ann Thelen said pre-orders are currently being accepted for Anita’s Sesquicentennial History Book.
The pre-order price for the history book is $35, with an additional shipping cost of $10 if you would like it mailed. After May 30th, the price will go up to $40 per book. You can pre-order at The Anita Tribune or online at anitawhaleofatown.org.
Two programs about Anita’s 150 years of history will be presented by Ann Thelen at the Anita Public Library on Friday, June 6th.
Thelen said a style show, “Anita’s Fashion Through the Decades”, will be held Sunday, June 8th. However, tickets for this event are sold out.
A Sesquicentennial Celebration will be held from August 1st through August 3rd. We’ll have more details on this event as the date draws closer.
