(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ soccer team begins post-season play tonight against Carroll. The Tigers are 1-15, and the Trojans are 2-12-2. Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says Carroll will use its speed and attempt its shots from the top.
Coach Vargason says scores with mutual opponents do not tell the story.
Maddie Richter leads Atlantic in scoring with eight goals. Emma Bernholtz leads Carroll with three. The Trojans have 91 shots on goals. Carroll, 102.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. The winner of this Class 2A Regional quarterfinal plays ADM on Wednesday, May 28.
