(Griswold) During Monday night’s meeting, the Griswold School Board approved increasing activity pass fees for the 2025-2026 school year.
Superintendent Dave Henrichs noted that the Corner Conference largely decided to raise ticket prices for events. However, prices for middle school events will remain at $5.00 for adults and students.
Adult ticket prices for high school events, excluding varsity football games, will increase from $5.00 to $7.00, while student tickets will remain at $5.00. Varsity football games will have a ticket price of $7.00 for both adults and students.
Henrichs also mentioned that the price of K-12 activity passes will not change, adult activity passes will increase from $120.00 to $130.00, and senior citizen passes will go from $85.00 to $95.00.
In other business, the Griswold School District is partnering with Mark Liddell of Liddell Auction Services for a surplus auction on Saturday, June 7, at the Liddell Auction House in Griswold. The auction will feature stoves, freezers, lawnmowers, and high school gym floor pieces. Henrichs emphasized the district’s staffing needs, highlighting the need for an elementary teacher. The good news is that interviews are currently underway to fill this position. He also mentioned that the last day of school is this Friday, May 23, when students will have a four-hour early dismissal. A meal will be provided for the entire staff, and the day will conclude with an end-of-year celebration that includes staff awards.
