(Audubon, IA) — It may be hard to believe but High School baseball games start one week from today. The Audubon baseball team will have nowhere to go but up this season after just two wins a year ago. The Wheelers have just about everybody coming back but Head Coach Joe Borkowski is looking for improvement on the mound. Audubon pitchers had a team ERA of 7.75 and Borkowski did use almost his entire roster in the pitching department so he will be needing his guys to improve this year
Offensively, Audubon will be led by Brody Schultes who hit .384 last year as a Sophomore and led the team in hits with 33 and RBIs with 12 and he only struck out 8 times. What’s scary is that Borkowski says he could be even better
Aaron Olsen is coming off a track injury but hit .337 last season — Borkowski will need others in his line up to step up their production but the one area he says is the key for this team is in the field
Audubon will open their season next Monday, May 19 hosting West Central Valley.
