(Clarinda) Another southwest Iowa teacher was honored Monday with the Charles E. Lakin Outstanding Teacher Award.
Casey Hill, a 2nd Grade Teacher at Clarinda Elementary School, said he was “totally surprised” to receive the recognition.
Hill began teaching at Clarinda Elementary in August 2013. He credits his family with inspiring his interest in education.
As part of the award, Hill received $10,000 for personal use, and the Clarinda Community School District was awarded $2,500.
