(Panora, IA) — Results of the Panorama Invitational from Thursday night did not come in until late Friday. Earlham won the Boys competition with AC/GC in 2nd place. Van Meter ran away with the Girls team title with Tri Center in third place.
The AC/GC girls were led by Senior Ava Campbell who set a new school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.67 — she also won the 1500 with a time of 4:53.43. Cadence Petersen won the High Jump at 4 feet 10 inches.
The Charger boys won the Shuttle Hurdle relay with Morgun Nolte, Tate Fever, Tommy Skram and Brexton Schneider at 1:03.29 which is way off their best time of 1:01.75 which ranks 7th in Class 1A. Eli Madsen won the 400 with a time of 52.05 for the only other win for the Chargers.
Audubon’s boys team had a fine night winning two relays and finishing 2nd in the three others. The Distance Medley team of Adam Obrecht, Mason Steckler, Brody Schultes and Carson Wessel ran a time of 3:48.20 which is their fastest this season. The Sprint Medley team of Mason Kasperbauer, Logan Stetzel, Braxton Witt and Jorgen Nowatzke won with a time of 1:42.85. The Shuttle Hurdle, 4×200 and 4×400 relays finished 2nd. The best finish for the Audubon girls was Leah Boysen who was 4th in the 1500.
Tri Center’s boys were led by Carter Kunze who won the Long Jump at 20 feet, 1 and a half inches — he also placed 2nd in the 400 and anchored the 4×400 relay with AJ Harder, Brennen Boden and AJ Peters to a win at 3:32.72. The Trojan girls got a win from Sophia Hazen in the 100 meters at 12.66 seconds and Tess Casey was 2nd in the 400 and Quincey Schneckloth was 2nd in the 100 Hurdles.
