(Guthrie Center, IA) — AC/GC Girls Track and Field has completed their regular season and will now prepare for next Thursday’s State Qualifying meet. On this past Thursday, the Chargers were in the Panorama Co-Ed meet and Senior Ava Campbell got another historic milestone. AC/GC Head Coach Jacob Lacey
Campbell more than likely will not compete in the 400 in next Thursday’s District meet — her bread and butter is the 800 and 1500 where she is the number one seed in both events — Campbell ranks third in Class 1A in the 800 and 4th in the state in the 1500. She will also probably run in the Distance Medley and 4×400 relays. Lacey says its probably a pretty good bet she will make it to the blue oval
Cadence Petersen has been showing some promise this year for AC/GC. Lacey has used her in the 4×400 and Distance Medley relays and she has two strong individual events as well
AC/GC will be going to Madrid on Thursday evening in both boys and girls track and field.
