(Griswold, IA) — The Griswold Tigers were on the prowl on Tuesday night hosting the Corner Conference track and field meet and the Boys took the team championship while the girls finished runner up to Fremont Mills which ran away from everybody.
For the Griswold boys, Peyton Cook was a 3 time individual champ in the 100 (11.42, PR); 110 Hurdles (15.15) and 400 Hurdles (59.25). Cook won his 4th title with the Shuttle Hurdle relay with Wyatt Silk, Auden Wilson and Bode Wyman with a PR of 1:00.74 and currently ranks 2nd in Class 1A. Cody Dorscher was a 4 time champ winning the 400 (52.05) and 800 (2:06.40 PR) and was part of the Sprint Medley relay which won at 1:37.48 with Nollan Smith, Wyatt Peterson and Auden Wilson. Dorscher was also part of the 4×400 relay that got a PR of 3:40.42 with Wilson, Collin Bowers and Wyman. The Distance Medley also won with Smith, Bowers, Wyman, and Holden Jensen at 3:54.12.
Collin Bowers also won the High Jump at 6-05; RJ Dishong won the Discus at 147-05.75 which is a PR. Holden Jensen won in the 1600 (PR of 4:45.71) and won the 3200 (10:23.86 PR).
For the Tiger girls, Carsyn Adams won the 100 (13.28 PR) and the 400 (1:02.20 PR) and finished 2nd in the 800 (PR of 2:37.41) and 34d in the 400 Hurdles (1:13.48). The Tigers won the 4×400 relay with Reese Laverty, Alexa Steinhoff, Camille Dorscher, and Sadie Gohlinghorst and won the 4×800 with Marissa Askeland, Ryanna Harrison, Dorscher and Gohlinghorst.
Lana Alley of Fremont Mills was a 4 time conference champ in 200, 100 Hurdles, Long Jump and part of the Shuttle Hurdle Relay.
