A former State Senator and Pleasant Valley School Board member, she has a record of supporting tax cuts, government modernization, and efficiency initiatives. She played a key role in Iowa’s government realignment, which consolidated agencies and saved over $200 million.
Cournoyer brings over 27 years of experience in the tech sector and has championed data privacy and STEM education. She aims to use AI to streamline audits, enhance government transparency, and support local government efficiency.
Governor Kim Reynolds has endorsed Cournoyer, calling her a trusted fiscal conservative and proven reformer.
