(Ames, IA) — The Iowa St. Women’s Basketball team has found a new player in the transfer portal — on Monday the Cyclones announced they have signed 6-0 Forward/Guard Evangelia Paulk to play for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Paulk transfers from Wofford College and is the 2nd player that Head Coach Bill Fennelly has signed through the portal joining Jada Williams from Arizona. Paulk will be a Junior for ISU and have two years of eligibility remaining.
Last year as a Sophomore, Paulk was the Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the Southern Conference. She started in all 29 games for the Terriers and led the team in scoring (12.8 ppg), rebounding (8.4 rbg) and steals (95). The steals led the conference. Paulk also hit 43 three pointers and added 54 assissts.
According to Fennelly, “She gives us needed length and athleticism on the wing. E is a two player that will give us more versatility at both ends of the floor. I know our fans will love watching her compete in a Cyclone uniform.”
As a freshman, the Asheville, NC native was the So Con Freshman of the Year, averaging 8.5 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. She had 46 steals that year as well and started in all 30 games.
