(Creston) A Union County man suffered injuries in a pickup/motorcycle accident in Creston.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Saturday at Highway 34 and Wyoming Street. Authorities say 51-year-old Jason Lee Hagle, of Creston was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Hagle was traveling westbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when a 1995 Chevy pickup stopped on Wyoming Street started to make a right turn onto westbound Highway 34, and pulled into the path of the motorcycle. Hagle braked, but unsuccessfully avoided the collision, and the Harley Davidson slid onto its side. The pickup left the scene. Authorities found it nearby, with no driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
